SOME EVENTS & PHOTO-OPPORTUNITIES COMING UP
THE NEMPF EXHIBITION OF PRINTS IS OPEN UNTIL SAT 4 FEB AT DURBAN HOUSE HERITAGE
CENTRE, MANSFIELD ROAD, EASTWOOD, NOTTS. NG16 3DZ. Open every day except Mondays.
If you haven’t already been, it’s well worth a visit, particularly if you wish to enter next year, to see the
standard of work required. Jarek has a print in the colour section and Peter Adams, Jon Fixter & Tim
Scott had projected digital images accepted. These, we shall be seeing at the club on 10 April when the
projected images from all 37 clubs who entered will be shown.
SUN 19 FEB 10am – 4pm “LANDSCAPE DAY WITH A DIFFERENCE” by two outstanding lecturers:-
Pete Bridgwood “Creative Landscapes” and Steve Gosling, “Imperfect Impressions” .

SUN 12 & 26 FEB BIKE RACING ON THE SANDS AT MABLETHORPE From about 10am, it’s a
good day out, you can get plenty of practice at action photography and it doesn’t cost a bean!
SAT 25 FEB “MAD FOR MECCANO” at The Lincolnshire Life Museum, Burton Road, from 10am. For
boys & girls of all ages!
COMING UP IN MARCH: On the 10th&11th free entry to Lincoln Castle for the “Discover Lincolnshire
Weekend”, with free entry, to promote tourism in the area.

ITEMS OF GENERAL INTEREST
THE NEW WEEKLY LINCOLNSHIRE ECHO is always looking for pictures of Lincolnshire scenes or
events taken by members of camera clubs. Take a look at the notice board for their picture
requirements, size etc. I’m sure many of you will have suitable pictures which will serve as good
examples of our club photography, as well as being free publicity for Lincoln Camera Club.
WELL DONE TO JON PIMLOTT, I see you have 2 in this week. (But why no mention of the club?)
BBC LOOK NORTH (Lincolnshire & East Yorkshire) is also always on the lookout for eye-catching
pictures shot in Lincolnshire or Yorkshire.
SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS are running successfully or being planned to run soon within the club.

Winter projects – indoors and outside. - Jon Fixter Jon will accommodate 4 members at a time
to his “Light Art Evenings” at his house – see available dates on a club night.
PLUS Other events as they crop up. - Suggestions for topics from members are always welcome
Our thanks to TIM SCOTT for an entertaining evening at the Club Auction last week, the event
raised over £200 for club funds.
